Current Make-Up Removing Routine.

Putting on makeup can make a huge difference to our appearance. Leaving on our makeup and head to bed can make a larger difference to our appearance too.

In addition, it harms our skin due to clogged pores and unbreathable skin. As days goes by, you will see your skin looking dull, dry and flaky patches will surface around.

Our makeup absorbs dirt and dust from the environment and it stays on our face throughout the day.
By not removing our makeup, bacteria will grow on our skin and cause unwanted pimples. It may aid in more skin damages and also speed up the process of ageing skin.

Till date, I know there are still some girls who do not remove their make up before heading to bed.

I personally feel that 1 cleansing product can never be enough to remove all those dirt, oil and makeup we accumulated throughout the day. Hence, this is a reason why I have a few products featured in this post.

1. Heroine Mascara Remover
Rating 10/10
Price: $14.90 (Watsons Store)

This mascara remover works wonders. It makes removing mascara instantly and easily.

I used to use makeup wipes to remove my mascara, rubbing and tugging makes it so harmful for my lashes. Every time I try to remove mascara, I will end up losing some lashes too. I came across this item when Watsons was having sale and I decided to try it out. I was so delighted with this product and I went to purchase it for my best friend too.

This is currently my 3rd tube and I HIGHLY recommend this to all girls who uses waterproof and smudge proof mascara.

2. Tony Moly Clear Water Lip & Eye Remover, 165ml
Rating 8.5/10
Price: $11.50 (Tony Moly Stores)

I have sensitive eyes. Hence, any make-up remover that has oil content in it irritates my eyes badly. I have been using this same remover for the past 4 years and this is my 5th bottle.

However, since this formula is a lot more gentle compared to oil based eye make-up remover, do not expect all make-up to be removed in just a single swipe. I used 2 cotton pads, 1 cotton pad for 1 eye and I used both sides to remove my eye make-up. It removes around 90% of my makeup. The rest of the remaining stubborn eye liner, I will have to use cotton bud with the solution on it, and remove every single bit of eye liner left on my lash line.

Additional points given for it's convenient packaging which makes dispensing of the product much easier.

Unlike normal make-up removers that comes in a bottle and requires you to shake out the product.

3. Byphasse Micellaire Make-up remover solution, 500ml
Rating 9.5/10
Price: $18 (Beauty Language Stores)
(Psst.. Very often they will have Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion!)

I have yet to see any beauty bloggers raved about this product.

Over the years as Micellaire water has garner lots of attention as it is gentle on skin and has the ability to remove make-up efficiently and effectively.
Let's be honest, think of the brands that carries micellar cleansing water. They are pretty pricey.

I found this at Beauty Language and it works exactly the same as other micellar cleansing water.

I use this to remove my base makeup. This is truly a cost efficient and effective product.

3. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, 200ml
Rating 7.5/10
Price: $43 (Watsons Stores)

I heard lots of great reviews about this product but I cannot bring myself to pay $43 for this product.
I was lucky enough to get this bottle of cleansing oil in Korea's Watsons for 10,000won (SGD$12).

This is my first experience with Cleansing Oil product. As soon as you massage the product into your face, it turns into a milky formula and melts your makeup away. You will need 1- 2 pumps of the product to effectively remove all the makeup on your face. It took me just 3-4 weeks and I finished up using it.

Pros:
- Helps removes your makeup
- Allows you to give you face a little massage
- Unexpectly moisturising

Cons:
- Hefty price tag to purchase in Singapore.

The Face Shop Chia Seed Sebum Control moisture Cream

The Face Shop Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream

I ran out of my all time favourite moisturiser from Kiehl's and decide to try out this Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream that I purchased from Korea. It's known to be one of the best selling moisturiser from The Face Shop.

Comes in a tub and a spatula to scoop the product.

I love the fact that it's a gel moisturiser, not to rich for my combination skin (With oily T-Zone).

Verdict based on Singapore's weather:

Great moisturiser for daily use. It has a very light and refreshing scent. However, it takes time for the moisturiser to absorb into my skin. I waited for a good 10mins before I start applying my makeup.
Moisture level: 4/5

You may consider this product as a more affordable substitute to Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-free Gel Cream.
